Empowered Middle Class was created to identify a problem: the middle class is struggling to stay above poverty level. We feel the middle class is so busy trying to pay their bills, they do not have the time to educate themselves about our ‘new economy’ and how to profit from it. We show possible solutions and alternatives to solve this problem. We show others what we are doing to reinvent ourselves from working-class to entrepreneur; able to create cash-flows on demand (and on a budget)!
We were not always interested in economics, politics, investment strategies, or creating additional income streams and cash-flows on a budget. We have always been able to take care of our family’s needs on one income.
See About Us. Times have changed - and will continue to do so!
Changing Our Mind-Set
In July, 2007, I was laid off from my job at a company called
Tiara Yachts. Although it was financially tough and stressful, I was (and am) an eternal optimist. I already had a degree in
Engineering and made a decision to pursue a degree in
Human Resource Management. In my Economics and Business Ethics classes I learned how the economic crisis that was unfolding daily happened. When I started to get educated, I began to get PISSED OFF! Angry at the “too big to fail” banks for getting us into this mess! This mess we are in today is because of deregulation of the Banking and Financial industry. The deregulation allowed them to go wild with unethical credit default swaps and derivatives. It allowed them to bundle worthless mortgage backed securities. When millions of people defaulted on the loans they should not have gotten in the first place; - the result was the financial crisis of September, 2008. And who is PAYING for Wall Street’s B.S.? The Middle Class is!
As you can see our mind-set has changed, and I hope your’s is to! I now had a better understanding of the problem the middle class faces. Our next step is to come up with possible alternative and solutions to the problem. In December, 2010, I received an email from Mike Dillard promoting
Mike Dillard’s Elevation Group. I highly recommend you check out his video and
Mike Maloney’s. They do a good job explaining the problem and possible solutions.
To your success,
Ginger Roelofs
